This book contains over fifty paintings from created in the past two decades of studying elements of the earth through travel and art. These are curated pieces from the collections of Water Poems, Land Lines, and Light As Air.
Light As Air
25 images from the solo exhibition paired with meditations on looking down at the earth from small aircraft flying around the pacific rim. Paintings were created between 2025-2026 on the slopes of the west maui mountains using atmospheric conditions at part of the mark making process.
Land Lines
Paintings created between 2019 - 2025 using ground earth pigments. These paintings are paired with questions posed by travel and observations of changing landscapes across the planet.
Water Poems
Created between 2014 - 2020, these forty encaustic paintings were the first body of work in the EARTH SERIES. Published originally in 2019, the first solo show of this work was at the SF Women Artist Gallery in San Franciso in 2021.
Traveling Light
A collection of photographs from over four decades of travel around the pacific rim. These photos served as references images for many paintings in the above collections.
Proven results that speak for themselves.
